Benjamin Franklin and the development of qualities…

As a young man, Benjamin Franklin designed a personal development program based on the simple idea that practising certain qualities (e.g., humility, resolution, sincerity) would make him a better and more successful man. In addition, he believed that each week of practice would create a habit that would shape the way he lived and related to others. He wrote down the pitfalls and failures he encountered in his practice in a notebook to follow his progress.

The following podcasts are based on this method, using visualization exercises. They intend to accompany anyone who wants to learn or cultivate qualities such as courage, openness, empathy or active listening.

Above, an introductory video presenting the origin of this project and the standard structure of each practice.
